Our First Fair - and What a Lovely Experience It Was

We recently had the absolute pleasure of exhibiting at the Wealden Times Midsummer Fair, and what a wonderful experience it turned out to be for Thula & Bloom.

As a small, local artisan brand, there is something very special about stepping away from the online world and meeting people face to face. We loved being able to talk properly about our products, explain the thought and care behind them, and share the story of why Thula & Bloom was created in the first place - simple, natural-feeling self-care rituals for skin, body and mind.

What made the fair even more special was the number of lovely people we met throughout the event. From those who stopped to smell the candles, try the magnesium butter, ask questions about our bath soaks, or simply chat about natural self-care, every conversation meant so much to us.

One of the biggest surprises was meeting people who had already seen Thula & Bloom on social media and had come along to find us in person. That really was a pinch-me moment. When you are building a small brand, you often post, share and create without knowing exactly who is seeing it - so to have people recognise us, come over, and buy from us because they had followed along online was incredibly encouraging.

The fair was a real success for us, not only in terms of sales, but in confidence, connection and community. It reminded us how important it is to be part of events that champion local makers, independent businesses and artisan brands. There is a different kind of energy at these markets - one where people care about where things come from, who made them, and the story behind each product.

We left feeling tired, happy and very grateful.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, purchased from us, encouraged us, shared kind words, or simply took the time to learn a little more about Thula & Bloom. Your support means more than you know.

We cannot wait to get out again and attend more fairs and markets — especially those that celebrate local, handmade, thoughtful and artisan brands like ours.

This feels like just the beginning.
